Housing Link Worker
Causeway Irish Housing Association is a small, expanding housing association which provides accommodation, lifeskills support, and access to the private rented sector for homeless people. Our Private Rented Sector Access service in Croydon now requires a Housing Link Worker to support people moving on from Croydon’s homelessness services into private sector tenancies. You will need experience of working in a housing, customer service or social care setting, together with an interest in working with homeless people with additional needs such as drug use or mental health issues
Salary: £25,261 per annum

Support Resident Queensdown Road Hackney
We are seeking a mature, responsible, reliable person to be a Support Resident at our younger person’s scheme in Hackney. In return for rent of £55.00 per week inclusive of bills you will be expected to be at home at least 4 nights per week, carry out occasional inspections and undertake 2 hours of cleaning per week. You will also be required to note any incidents of antisocial behaviour and report them to the housing officer or the emergency on call service. All residents of the scheme have very low needs and all are in work or higher education. We will consider applications from couples providing both partners can provide a current DBS check. In the event that a couple is recruited an extra £10.00 weekly service charge will be added to the rent.

Voluntary Management Committee Members
We are looking for new members to contribute to the growth of the organisation and strengthen our existing small but active committee. Quarterly meetings are held in North London on weekday evenings. There will also be an opportunity to join our sub-committes which include Finance, Fundraising & Staff Recruitment. We also have an annual Strategy Day where members have a real opportunity to influence the policies and direction of the organisation.
We are looking for knowledge and experience of any of the following: housing, homelessness, finance, fundraising, development. Most of our meetings are held in Kings Cross.

Causeway Social Enterprise volunteer: Carpenter/ Furniture Restorer
Causeway are looking for volunteers with experience or an interest in Carpentry who would like to contribute to our new Social Enterprise. We aim to deliver/sell low cost restored furniture to both tenants and the local community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like experience working at a Housing Association and developing a starter business with tenants and staff. Causeway will provide training in Furniture Restoration to volunteers who are committed to the project.
Travel and lunch expenses will be provided.
