Causeway Wellbeing Service
Following a successful application to the City Bridge Trust we received a grant to establish a Wellbeing service to work in tandem with our Lifeskills department.
Through direct work with tenants our Lifeskills team had identified a need for a service more focused on the support needs of our tenants from refugee/asylum seeker backgrounds, and migrant communities.
The service is now up and running with our Wellbeing co-ordinator working with up to 180 tenants; assessing needs and wellbeing , providing short term interventions and one to one support planning; signposting and referring to appropriate services, and establishing a programme of activities, events and wellness groups.
Our support model is based around The 5 Ways to Wellbeing, an approach developed by the New Economics foundation based on evidence suggesting that people with good mental wellbeing do more of certain activities. Research found that there 5 ways which help to improve our lives:
- Be active
- Connect
- Give
- Keep learning
- Take notice
If you have not already met with our Wellbeing co-ordinator, then Guy will be in touch over the next few months to arrange to meet with you for an introduction to the service and to carry out a brief assessment.
Please check the Newsletter for service updates and information on future events. If you would like more information on the service or have any enquiries then please contact Guy Bolongaro, at the office.
